Domain Name Registration
A domain name is like a Post-Office Box. You register the web address so people can find you. Web Hosting is like upgrading from a PO-Box to a Shop-Front, where you have public access to your online world, with storage space for your website files.
Gippsland Technology Centre can register your Domain Name with the International Internet Naming Register for the appropriate region and provide account management of Domain Name on behalf of you for the duration of your website term.
Let us explain why our Web Hosting and Domain Name Registration prices are in US Dollars and not Australian Dollars.
We use a world-class Web Hosting provider, which is an Australian company, who uses a world-class hosting centre, based in the US. Because the hosting centre charges in US Dollars, our provider must also charge us in US Dollars. For this reason, we must charge you for those services in US Dollars (because the US vs Australian Dollar changes so much!)
Our Website Design & Development service is separate to the hosting and domain services.
Website design is charged in Australian Dollars.

Need POP3 or IMAP or web-based E-mail hosted but don't need a website attached? We provide dedicated e-mail hosting plans with generous usage limits at excellent prices!
